But anyways i wanted to give thanks today for the Lords protection! Yesterday Me and my best friends went floating down the river.... Something happened that caused me to leap quickly from my tube before coming to a big drop off... And let me tell you, I know for a fact God intervened because I am not a strong person by no means. Standing only 5'3 and my body is made up of more body fat than muscle. I am weak. Trust me.
Especially after not getting great sleep the night before, and the sun had drained me just a little. But God is my strength now and always. Physically, mentally and spiritually. Yesterday I had enough faith to walk on water. (And I'm using that as an example of MY Faith. I didn't literally walk on water. But i don't doubt that i could have) The force of the river on the drop off, and the slipperiness of the algae on the rivers floor should gave caused me to lose balance and fall off of the drop off, but I prayed and walked across with all of the strength the Lord had given me.
I stood firm, without fear. I've never felt so powerful. It was only through the strength God had given me that I made it across without slipping and falling.
"I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH" Phillipians 4:13
And Thankfully by the time i got to the end of the edge, A man reached out his hand to help me. And i said "I dont want you to help me if your going to fall" and he said "No sweetie, take my hand, i got you" And he helped me down.. So thankful for that as well..... Oh im thankful for many things :) I had a great time in San Antonio :] So glad we decided to show up and surprise Lauren for her Birthday.. Even though my Grandma totally ruined it lol She told about us coming down.. She didnt know it was a surprise lol
Im very thankful that we were all protected through-out our entire day yesterday.. And every day. And even on our way home today, driving in that rain. God is good.. ALL THE TIME.
That's right, Chairty, God only cares about you and keeping you safe. He doesn't care about anyone else, just self-centered christians like you. Praise the lord! :P
