Quitting Smoking.

I pray that God can use me in some sort of way to help others, even if just one person. I believe everything i've ever been through was for a reason. And that reason was not for the experience, or the suffering. But to show myself and others that we can over come something in life that we think is too hard to overcome...

We really can...I praise and thank God for giving me the knowledge, the experience and the strength, to be who i am today, to be where i am today, and to overcome all of the thing's that i have overcome.. Life is hard and still things come my way and discourage me and bring me down, and i almost fail, But thank God for keeping me up and going, and keeping me strong. And thank God for giving me the strength and willpower to NEVER GIVE UP and keep fighting!

PHILIPPIANS 4:13 "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME"

So before i start my little story here i want to say this, Because i know this is a major concern when it comes to Quitting Cigarettes. It was one of my main concerns, and i know alot of people think about this, and worry about this. ***WEIGHT GAIN***

You'll gain weight, But it's nothing major. It's nothing you cant walk off. If you allow yourself to over eat and let that over take you then yes you will gain weight.

(i have over come smoking, and an eating disorder, and i have some gained weight, and i couldnt be happier with myself... but it's nothing MAJOR)

It's nothing different than any other day. Not smoking doesnt make you eat more, It's ALL IN YOUR HEAD (okay maybe not :p lol but maybe if you convince yourself that it is, then it will be...) And if you do end up eating more, Eat RIGHT.

Eat the way you should eat normally. Dont go all out and binge, dont over eat on fattening things. Keep good things around.. Like nuts.. Almonds, things like that.. Healthy stuff.. Vegetables.. Salad.. Go on a healthy diet during the time your going to quit smoking. And eat nothing but good stuff... It would be DOUBLE good for your body and for you. Go for a whole lifestyle change! Make bigger better changes and better decisions, You cant go wrong!!

Quitting smoking is hard, It is. Smoking is an addiction, and your body and your mind, and everything about you is addicted to it. It's what you do when you wake up, you do it all day long, you do it before you go to bed. I know how it is, i know the feeling.. You talk on the phone, YOU SMOKE, you..... Get angry... You smoke! You are depressed? You smoke even more.. You are hanging out with friends.. YOU SMOKE. Especially with friends who also smoke.

Stay away from all of that for while. Distract yourself. If your on the phone, go for a walk, or draw, journal, paint, learn something new, create something, get some play dough, or something silly and have fun with it, take some kind of lessons, art lessons or learn an instrument, do ANYTHING but smke.

Journaling is so helpful! Even online blogging is helpful! Or VLogging! Record yourself, find new things to do online. There is so many things out there that you can do to help with your journey of quitting your nicotine addiction.

If you want to stop smoking, YOU CAN DO IT. You lived without them before you can live without them now. You dont need cigarettes. And they dont need you... You can do ANYTHING that you want to do in life. There is nothing that you cannot do, There is nothing that you cannot overcome... Believe in yourself, ask God to help you, ask your friends/family for support! Everyone is going to support you because they care about you! Dont give up seriously. If you want to quit, you can do it!! I believe in you!! And i believed in myself!!

The first time i ever smoked a cigarette i was 11 years old.
I bought my first pack at 11.

Im guessing either
1) I looked old enough
2) My story about these cigarettes were for "UNCLE SAM" was believable.
(i dont even have an uncle sam) lol
or 3) They just werent overly strict at the time.

Ah i bet i looked old enough lol =/

Anyway's... I bought my first pack & smoked here & there at the ages of 11/12

I became a full time smoker at the age of 16.
I was addicted to cigarettes.

I've been two years NOT addicted to cigarettes.

The temptation is still there.. The urges are still there.. Have i lit one up since i completely quit? Yes i have. But will i ever let myself get back to where i was, addicted to cigarettes/nicotine? No i wont. Not ever.

I pray you have the strength, and i pray you can quit, I know you can. God bless and Good luck.
