I lost 7 pounds!

So most of you know, or you might not know that i have been changing my eating habits lately, BIG TIME. Now... Dont get me wrong. I dont deprive myself of my favorite things. If i want something sweet every once in a while i'll have something sweet. Im sure you could tell that seeing as i had one of those funnel cakes from Jack In The Box, LOL. And also a McRib from Mcdonalds :) But aside from treating myself to some kind of junk food every once in a while, I've been eating totally different than i normally do.

As some of you know i am a recovering anorexic/bulimic. And during my recovery time, I put on a little over 20 pounds. Which trust me was the BEST thing ive ever done for myself! Who woulda thought i had a ghetto booty and Boobies awaiting me! And a womanly shape :) Im 24!! Not 15 anymore!! I love and appreciate the body God has given me, and i shouldnt abuse it by not eating and looking like a little boy..... I'll never forget when my sister looked at me in the mirror at Khols, and said... "You look like an idiot" (LOL!!) And she was right... I did... Dear Sister Polly.. Those words have stuck with me all of this time, i've never forgotten them, And i think back to that day alot........ I had a sickness though... It was a struggle, a mental torment, a personel hell, But praise God i have overcome it, and i no longer look like an idiot :) :) Well i dont think i do anyway, hehe!!


Anyway's..... after reaching about 126, I started to feel myself wanting to lose weight, but not in a GOOD way... More like in a relapsing way.. THE EASY way that i always knew how.... I started getting pretty stressed out from some things in my life, and i felt like falling back on my good ol bad habits. But instead i took a different route. I asked my Mom to join me in changing our eating habits, and going on a healthy diet!

I've lost a total of 7 pounds (WITHOUT exersize)
And my Mom has lost 20 (WITHOUT exersize)

Well.. In the past week i realize my metabolism must be slowing down, and not cooperating with my diet anymore... So i decided to start exersizing!!! Which has been fabulous. And i am calling this my Charity Body Challenge. This is day 5, And im still going strong. And im feeling so good about myself!

Im sticking with my diet. And adding some really good exersizing.
Since i started exersizing i lost an extra pound (which is included in that 7 above)

Every day, I get up super early, and start with the BEST thing in the world. The Bible. As soon as i open my eyes, I read a whole chapter. This kicks-tarts my day with joy and the word of God... And i feel happy and blessed all day, And before i go to bed i read a chapter as well (you should startn doing this too!)


The next thing i do, is have a cup of coffee, or two. With 1 Splenda, And Coffee Creamer... I then eat breakfast. And every day my breakfast is either OATMEAL or EGGS. But i ususally just stick to oatmeal... You can eat anything you want but make sure it's healthy and good for you! You can also eat a half of a grape fruit as well, Did that yesterday before i ate my eggs!!

So for Breakfast, I either have scrambled eggs, with or without cheese (depends on my mood) And Ketchup =D Or..... I make a pack of instant oatmeal, and add a spoonfull of peanutbutter, i mix it and let it melt and it is DELICIOUS!

Then i exersize. I start off by lifting some light weights, and doing different kinds of squats, and leg lunges, I actually have been watching these videos every day. They are exersize videos that are GREAT without being TOO HARD, and the guy who does them his name is Parrish. And i think he makes excellent videos: Fitness By Parrish Check those out.. And i also purchased a small exersize ball, wich i do my own thing with. It came with a DVD but that lady is too draggy for me, I have too much energy to sit there and relax with her. LOL, So i do whatever i want with it, Crunches, Situps, Different things. And i also walk a mile on the treadmill, and put on some dance tunes and dance around a little bit :) I like to make it fun, or else i'd give up.. lol (OH and i also use my shake weight... which i LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!)

And in between eating, if i get a little hungry, i'll eat a small salad, with whatever kind of dressing i want *Just Lettuce & Dressing* (doesnt have to be fat free) And/or Cottage Cheese.... Or Pretzels and a string cheese.. I mix it up sometimes..

And for lunch i'll have a diet meal, Lean Cuisine & Healthy Choice, different brands have awesome selection! With a salad, or i just make myself a BIG salad and add lots of great things like in this video:



Or i'll make myself some Tuna like you have seen me make in this video:


But we're no longer eating it on bread :) We'll have a few crackers with it, or put it over salad, or you can even make yourself a delicious wrap, using lettuce, and a slice of cheese............. Or eat it alone.. It's up to you!

(if you dont like tuna, use chicken instead)

ALL i drink is WATER. Water water water, Drink lots of water! I've also been taking some vitamins.... Fish oil, vitamin c.... Things like that.

Like i said we dont deprive ourself of anything, If we want to eat something good once a week we do, Or we'll make spagetti, or chilli, but we make that our main meal of the day and we dont over do it.

So basically our diet consist's of this:

No Bread.
No Potatoes.
No Noodles.

MEAT.
CHEESE.
VEGETABLES.

We eat Any type of Vegetables, Meat, and Cheese.
We eat alot of cottage cheese, and salad.. Whenever we want.

And of course, i loveeee peanut butter..... And.. Pretzels too.

It's not that hard, it's pretty easy. And the weird thing is, once you eat like this for so long, you get so used to it, that it becomes your new lifestyle.......... And it encourages you to eat healthier, once you start noticing your weight loss, and how much better you feel!!! And i have so much energy too!

I do have a goal weight, and i am sticking to it, and im not going to lose any more after that. I'd like to lose just a few more pounds, and maintain that body weight.. In a healthy way... Which is the best way to go! Thanks for reading.. And i'll keep you updated if anything changes (if your interested)

  1. I used to be anorexic, and still only weigh 107 lbs. But I'm recovered now! It's hard to find the line between restricting and eating healthy sometimes, as you probably know. I could never cut out carbs though...that's like all I eat! haha =) Keep going strong. I watch your cooking vids on youtube! Nice work!
